This Written Hazard Communication Program has been established for company name in compliance with OSHA's Hazard Communication Standard, 29 CFR 1910.1200. The purpose of this program is to ensure that information about the hazards of chemicals used in this workplace is communicated to all affected employees.
This program applies to all work operations at this establishment where employees may be exposed to hazardous chemicals under normal working conditions or in a foreseeable emergency.

29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1)A list of hazardous chemicals present at this facility is maintained and attached to this program as Attachment A. The list identifies all chemicals by the product name found on the label and the corresponding Safety Data Sheet.
The chemical inventory is maintained by: name/title and is reviewed and updated: frequency, e.g., annually and whenever new chemicals are introduced.
29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1)(i)Safety Data Sheets are maintained for every hazardous chemical identified in the chemical inventory. SDS are obtained from chemical manufacturers or distributors at the time of initial purchase and whenever a revised SDS is issued.
SDS are maintained in the following location(s) and are accessible to employees during all work shifts without having to ask a supervisor:
If an SDS is not available for a chemical in use, employees should immediately notify name/title. Work with that chemical will be suspended until an SDS is obtained.
SDS are reviewed for currency when received and whenever the chemical is reordered. Outdated SDS are replaced with current versions. SDS are retained for chemicals no longer in use for a minimum of 30 years.
29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1)(ii); 29 CFR 1910.1020 (retention)All containers of hazardous chemicals in this workplace will be labeled in accordance with the GHS-aligned HazCom standard. Labels must include: the product identifier, signal word, hazard statements, precautionary statements, pictogram(s), and manufacturer contact information.
Containers received from manufacturers or distributors must be labeled in compliance with 29 CFR 1910.1200(f). Containers received without labels or with damaged labels are reported to name/title before being used or placed in storage.
Chemicals transferred from original containers to secondary containers (spray bottles, buckets, smaller jugs) must be labeled immediately upon filling with at minimum the product name and appropriate hazard warnings. The person who fills a secondary container is responsible for labeling it before using it or setting it down.
Labels are checked during routine inspections by: name/title, frequency.
29 CFR 1910.1200(f)All employees who may be exposed to hazardous chemicals in the workplace receive HazCom training at the time of initial assignment and whenever a new hazard is introduced to their work area.
